The idea for the Entoforms is simple. Individual Entoforms use the letters of their name to determine the unique characteristics of their shape. Each letter corresponds to a feature, and results in a change in the appearance of the body shapes. The catalogue contains so-called 'holotypes' and 'paratypes' based on for example all countries of the world, or names of actors and actresses no doubt gleaned from IMDB. Using the evolutionary language of DNA and referring to Entoforms as 'future fossils', in fact these are generated through combining a relatively limited set of variables. But the resulting entities are actually quite exciting.
